Intensive Outpatient Treatment
for
Children
2 - 17 years of age
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Children at the Institute for Life Renovation (ILR) provides a structured, evidence-based level of care for children who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy but do not require inpatient treatment. Designed for children experiencing emotional dysregulation, behavioral challenges, anxiety, mood difficulties, or struggles with daily functioning, our program delivers comprehensive, individualized care that promotes meaningful and lasting change.
At ILR, we take a wraparound, team-based approach to treatment. Each child and family receives a personalized plan that integrates evidence-based therapies—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT-informed skills), and parent-focused interventions—tailored to their unique needs. Treatment extends beyond the therapy room, incorporating coordination with parents, schools, and other providers to ensure consistency, accountability, and real-world application of skills.
A central component of our program is active caregiver involvement. Parents are supported in learning and implementing effective strategies that reinforce progress at home, improve communication, and create a stable, structured environment for growth. Through this collaborative model, families develop the tools needed to reduce crisis behaviors, strengthen relationships, enhance academics, and support long-term success.
Our IOP combines high-quality clinical care with individualized attention, ensuring that each child receives the intensity of support they need while maintaining connection to their home, school, and community. This balance allows for immediate skill application and fosters sustainable progress across all areas of functioning.
